Spaghetti

Spaghetti are the most iconic of all Italian pasta shapes: long, thin, cylindrical strands made from durum wheat semolina and water. Their name comes from “spago,” meaning lengths of string. Wonderfully versatile, spaghetti are best enjoyed al dente and pair beautifully with just about any sauce: classic tomato (with or without meat), creamy carbonara, or simply olive oil and garlic for a timeless favourite.

Skillet:
1. Bring water to a rolling boil (2–6 liters depending on quantity), add 1 teaspoon of salt (optional).
2. Add desired amount of frozen pasta to boiling water. Wait until water returns to a rolling boil and cook for 30 seconds.
3. Drain and toss pasta in skillet with preheated O Sole Mio sauce. Cook for 2 to 4 minutes, until reaching internal temperature of 162°F (72°C). Add favourite toppings as desired (parmesan, basil, chili, etc.).
Oven:
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Place 500 g of frozen pasta in baking dish, cover with favourite O Sole Mio sauce or toppings, sprinkle with cheese of choice, and bake for 26 to 30 minutes, until internal temperature of 162°F (72°C) is reached.
Microwave:
1. Place 170 g to 215 g of frozen pasta in microwave-safe bowl, add favourite O Sole Mio sauce or toppings, ensuring pasta is fully covered with sauce.
2. Microwave on high for 2 minutes, mix carefully as product will be hot, and cook for 3 more minutes, until internal temperature of 162°F (72°C) is reached.
*Heating time may vary between ovens.

Serving Suggestions

With tomato sauces: serve with Napoletana or Bolognese for a must-have classic.
Carbonara: ideal for a creamy, highly popular menu option.
Aglio e olio: olive oil, garlic, and parsley for a simple, flavourful dish.
With meatballs or sausage: in tomato sauce or meat sauce for an easy crowd-pleaser.
