Alfredo's passion for Italian cuisine began at a very young age while working at his family's pizzeria. Under his mother's watchful eye, he learned to make perfect gnocchi and discovered that he shared his family's love of fresh food and quality ingredients.

With a combined interest in cooking and the hospitality industry, Alfredo left his mother's side to study at LaSalle College where, in 1989, he was awarded the Food Service Grand Prix. After graduating, he apprenticed at the Chateau Champlain and then moved to Europe where he honed his culinary skills by working in some of the finest hotels in Switzerland and Italy.

In the early 90's, Alfredo moved back to Montreal and into the kitchen of his family's famous Casa Napoli restaurant located in the heart of Little Italy. Established in 1979, Casa Napoli has achieved worldwide acclaim thanks in large part to the continuing efforts of Chef Alfredo.

At that time, Alfredo had the idea to commercialize fresh pasta and prepared sauces. So he spent his days creating delectable Italian fare for the restaurant and his nights experimenting and adapting various family recipes, which he decided to market under the name O'Sole Mio.

Today, O'Sole Mio products can be found in grocery stores across Canada, the United States and Mexico. If asked, Chef Alfredo will tell you that O'Sole Mio's success comes from his philosophy—freshness and authenticity at any cost!

Company founder and head chef, Alfredo Napolitano approaches his craft with a philosophy to use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients for his gourmet line of pasta and sauces. It's this unwavering commitment to quality that separates O'Sole Mio from all of the other food manufacturers today. At O'Sole Mio, we don't cut corners or care if it costs a little more because we know you're worth it. With Chef Alfredo at the helm of our company, you can rest assured that our products will never have additives, preservatives or colourings either.
